In order to ensure my maxi dress as wearable as possible I made the following alterations: Graded out one size at the hips for two reasons because a) I knew that without a bit more coverage the extra length could mean a greater chance of thigh exposure while I walk and b) I had to accommodate for my hips, which are a size larger than my upper body. Added 17 to the length
